WordPress is an easy to use Web framework. Free websites or blogs can be setup at WordPress.org and all information on how to do so, is found there. WordPress can also be highly customised with a little technical knowledge, some html or php experience, and these plugins assist greatly.
To install a plugin you generally just need to upload the plugin file into your /wp-content/plugins directory. If something goes wrong with a plugin and you can’t use WordPress, delete or rename that file in the /wp-content/plugins directory and it will be automatically deactivated. Before you install any of these plugins, it is a must to backup your wordpress database, and in some cases files too. See Backup articles.
WordPress Plugins that have been tested good and recommended by G Network (comment added) – Best of all, FREE and will work on latest version of WordPress 2.6.2. Enjoy!
