Horse virus Equine Influenza has shutdown Horse Racing in Australia. Horses were recently discovered in Sydney, with the virus, and ALL movement of horses has ceased – by Government’s request – for a minimum of 72 hours.
This is quite a blow to Australian Horse Racing, costing the industry tens of millions of dollars a day. See article from Sydney Morning Herald:
