Well its that time of the year again, Caulfield Cup. This years Group1 event, features 18 runners, going 2400 metres in a quest for champion stayer stardom.
There are many chances here, with the early G Network favourite, Our Smoking Joe seeing a plunge in odds during the week, down to around $5.50 – $6.00 the win. This is too short considering the other chances.

One of the overlooked runners, is a real chance, and at odds too! Aqua D’Amore has led up to this really nicely, down in weight, and goes great the distance from inside barrier. Paying beautiful odds.

Most of the other favoured runners are a chance. Sphenophyta, Growl, look great. Even Grand Zulu with a light weight is a good chance at longer odds, currently $31.00win $8.50place.
Will be a fine race to watch.

Our Smoking Joe got out early and led most of the way, not good enough, and was too short to back anyway, finished 6th.
Top Bet of the day and only qualified G Network selection Aqua D Amore overpowered Our Smoking Joe and seized the lead in the home stretch, ran on beautifully only to get beaten by late finishing Tawqeet in the last 50m. G Network punters saw a nice place return:
