G Network noteworthy runners are recorded in a “blackbook”, with special characteristics of the horse noted.
This used to be a physical book that was written in, these days a computer or web service does the job. When the horse is due to run, blackbook notifies with details of the race, making it easier to follow a stable of runners over time.
Most racing selections seen on G Network are as a result of noting an eye-catching run, and then waiting for the runner to meet similar suitable conditions.
Racing and Sports provide a Blackbook service, which can email you a couple of days before your entrant runs. Registration required.
